Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using JobCall.com.au, you agree to these terms of use, together with our disclaimer and privacy policy. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the site. If you are under 18, please use JobCall with the involvement of a parent, guardian or other trusted adult, and only use it where you are permitted to agree to these terms.
What JobCall provides
JobCall is a free website that provides general job-communication templates, examples, generators, guides and checklists — for example, messages for missed calls, interviews, follow-ups and job offers, and templates for resumes, cover letters and reference lists. These are starting points that you review, complete and adapt to your own situation. Some materials can be viewed on screen and downloaded as Word or PDF files.
What JobCall is not
JobCall is not a registered company, a recruitment or employment agency, an employment, workplace, career, legal, tax, financial or migration adviser, or a government or official careers service. We don't apply for jobs on your behalf, contact employers for you, review your individual situation, or guarantee any particular result.
Sample content is fictional
All names, employers, schools, email addresses, phone numbers and other details shown in sample resumes, cover letters, reference lists, example messages and tool previews are fictional and for illustration only, as explained in our disclaimer. You must replace sample content with your own accurate details before using it.
Your responsibilities
- Use the site and its templates only for your own lawful, personal job-seeking.
- Provide only information that is true and not misleading in anything you create or send.
- Don't impersonate any person or organisation, or misrepresent your experience or qualifications.
- Get a person's permission before naming them as a referee or sharing their details.
- Take responsibility for every message, resume, cover letter or other document you create and send — you, not JobCall, are the author and sender.
- Don't use the site to harass, defraud or harm anyone.
- Don't disrupt, overload, scrape, republish or copy the website wholesale, or try to access it other than through the normal interface.
Your content and generated documents
The details you type into our tools are processed in your browser to build your message or document during your visit and are not intentionally stored by us (see our privacy policy). The finished messages and documents you create are yours to use freely for your own job seeking, and you are responsible for them.
Provided "as is"
The site and all of its content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We don't promise that the site will be accurate, complete, current, uninterrupted, secure or error-free, and we may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it at any time without notice.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, JobCall and the people behind it will not be liable for any loss, damage, cost or expense (including direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, loss of opportunity, or loss arising from a missed or unsuccessful application) arising from or connected with your access to or use of, or inability to use, the site or its content, or your reliance on it.
Australian Consumer Law
Certain laws, including the Australian Consumer Law, may give you guarantees, rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any such guarantee, right or remedy. Where our liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, our liability is limited, to the extent permitted, to re-supplying the relevant content or the reasonable cost of doing so. Apart from those non-excludable rights, the limitations above apply.
Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for, and to reimburse us for, any loss or claim arising from your misuse of the site or your breach of these terms — for example, sending false or misleading information, infringing someone's rights, or using the site unlawfully.
Intellectual property
The JobCall name, branding, design, code and original written content belong to us and are protected by law. You may use the messages and documents you create for your own personal job seeking. You may not copy, republish, redistribute or commercialise the website, its templates or its content wholesale, or present them as your own product or service, without our permission.
Third-party links and services
The site may link to or use third-party websites and services (for example, government resources or Google services) that we don't control and aren't responsible for. Your use of those is subject to their own terms and policies.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version always appears on this page, with the "last updated" date above. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that state and the Commonwealth of Australia.
