The Hiring Manager
XXXX Electrical
Perth, WA
Dear Hiring Manager,
I am writing to apply for the first-year electrical apprenticeship at XXXX Electrical. I have always enjoyed hands-on, practical work, and I am keen to build a long-term career as an electrician.
This year I completed a pre-apprenticeship in electrotechnology at TAFE, where I learned electrical fundamentals, safe work practices and basic wiring. I also spent four weeks as a trade assistant with a local electrician, carrying tools and materials, pulling cables under supervision and cleaning up sites. Working part-time at a hardware store has given me a good knowledge of tools and materials and taught me to be reliable and turn up on time.
I hold a White Card, a driver's licence and a First Aid certificate. My resume is attached, and I would welcome the chance to meet you or do a trial day. Thank you for considering my application.
Kind regards,
Jack Williams
