Read the guide →Run through this before you send your resume — the basics, tailoring, Australian conventions and a final check.
Open the checklist →Lead with your AHPRA registration and Bachelor of Nursing, then your clinical placements, clinical skills (assessment, medication, documentation), and clearances. New graduates should highlight placements, EMR experience and teamwork.
Draw on your clinical placements as your main experience — name the wards or settings, the skills you used and the systems you worked with. Add any AIN or PCA work, and emphasise communication, reliability and safe practice.
Registered and enrolled nurses must hold current AHPRA registration. Most roles also require a National Police Check, often a Working with Children Check, and current First Aid and CPR. Always check the job ad.
